Location -Off Mandai Raod.
One of the quietest places surrounded with lush greenery and a lake. The park is teeming with flora and fauna, making it a favorite spot for nature lovers. You can walk around, jog as well as cycle.
There is golf course complementing its natural beauty On the other side of the lake is Singapore Zoo.
There are 2 unique things here - Lone Casuarina tree standing on a green lawn against the lake background and rocket shaped tower which you can climb for the bird’s eye view.
Usually we have seen newly married couples coming to this reservoir to take pics for their memorable album.
Our favorite place to sit are on the benches near to the lone tree (Near Observation tower) and drink our home-made tea with biscuits/ It is a picnic spot and if the weather is cloudy and freezy, it is an icing on the cake Whenever we come to hike here, we make a few rounds around the park as it is not that big.
You can walk within the park for short distance hikers
Upper Seletor Reservoir —-> SpringLeaf Park —> Lower Seleator Reservoir (8-10 km).
Upper Seletor Reservoir —> Ulu Sembawang Sunrise view point via Ulu Sembawang park.
Next to the lone tree there are benches or bring your own mat or at the Car Park C shelter area to avoid sun/rain
Nothing close to Upper Seletar Reservoir. Nearest is Sembawang road or you can go to the newly opened SpringLeaf Park Cafe
Bring your snacks or ask for delivery.
Saw few groups coming here for morning exercise like Yoga, Taichi, etc.
One of our highly rated favorite places for peace in nature. Another reason may be because it is near our residential areas so 10-12 min drive. This place is surrounded by nature and there is no residential areas nearby.
What we liked or do not -
Very few people come here as it is not near mrt or residential area. So very quite and peaceful.
